Client Ledger Privacy Policy
Client Ledger is designed to keep your ledger on your device. It does not require an account, operate a custom backend, or sell your personal information.
1. Information you enter
Client Ledger stores the information you choose to enter locally on your device. This can include client names, charges, payments, notes, promised payment dates, follow-up message drafts, payment methods, templates, reminder preferences, and backup data.
We do not receive this information on a developer-operated server. You are responsible for the information you choose to enter and for obtaining any permission needed to keep client information in the app.
2. Contacts
You may choose one contact through Apple's contact picker when adding a client. If you do, Client Ledger uses the selected contact's display name and saves a local contact identifier so it can associate that selection with the client record. The app does not bulk-read your contacts, and it does not upload your contacts, phone numbers, or email addresses to us.
3. Notifications
With your permission, Client Ledger schedules local notifications for promised payment dates. Notifications are delivered by iOS. By default, notification text does not include a client name or balance amount. If you turn on the optional name preview, a client name may appear in a reminder shown on your device.
4. Backups, exports, and sharing
Backups, CSV exports, and statements are created locally. They leave the app only when you choose an iOS share or save destination. After you share a file, the receiving app, service, or person handles that copy under its own privacy practices. Please choose sharing destinations carefully and keep independent backups of important records.
5. Purchases
Client Ledger may offer a one-time Lifetime Pro purchase through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes billing, payment information, taxes, refunds, and purchase records. We do not receive or store your payment-card information.
6. Information we do not collect
- We do not require an account, profile, email address, or password.
- We do not operate analytics or advertising services that receive your ledger data.
- We do not collect precise location, health information, microphone recordings, photos, or messages.
- We do not sell your personal information or client information.
7. Retention and deletion
Your ledger remains on your device until you delete it, replace it with a restored backup, start a new ledger, or delete the app. The app's Delete All Local Data action removes local Client Ledger records while preserving your App Store purchase entitlement and copies you previously shared. Deleting the app may remove local app data under iOS behavior; it does not remove files you saved or shared elsewhere.
8. Apple and other destinations you choose
Client Ledger uses Apple platform services such as StoreKit, notifications, Contacts, Files, and the system share sheet. Apple and any destination you select may process information according to their own terms, policies, and your device settings.
9. Children
Client Ledger is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, Apple platform services, or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
