Client Ledger Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Client Ledger, a local-first app for recording client balances, payments, follow-ups, and statements.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Client Ledger, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What the app does
Client Ledger helps you record information you provide, including client balances, charges, payments, notes, dates, and follow-ups. It is a record-keeping tool only. It does not process payments, connect to bank accounts, send debt-collection messages automatically, create a legal invoice, or provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, or debt-collection advice.
3. Your responsibilities
- Enter accurate information and review balances, dates, messages, statements, backups, and exports before using or sharing them.
- Obtain any consent, authority, or legal basis required to store client information and contact a client.
- Keep backups of records that are important to you, and protect your device and any files you export or share.
- Use the app lawfully and do not use it to harass, threaten, misrepresent, or unlawfully collect a debt from another person.
4. Local data and sharing
Client Ledger stores your ledger locally on your device. You control when to create a backup, export a statement or CSV file, or use the iOS share sheet. You are responsible for the security of information you share and for the policies of the apps, services, and people that receive it.
5. Purchases and refunds
Client Ledger may offer a one-time Lifetime Pro purchase. Purchases, billing, taxes, refunds, and purchase restoration are handled by Apple through the App Store. We cannot process refunds directly; for billing or refund requests, contact Apple Support.
6. Apple App Store terms
Your use of Client Ledger through the Apple App Store is also subject to Apple's applicable terms, including the Apple Standard End User License Agreement.
7. Privacy
Your use of Client Ledger is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue the app or a feature when necessary. We may also update these Terms to reflect changes to the app, platform requirements, or law. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Disclaimers
Client Ledger is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, the accuracy or completeness of user-entered data, delivery of iOS notifications, compatibility with every share destination, or preservation of data after device loss, app deletion, or an unsupported restore.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of data, clients, revenue, or profits; missed reminders; payment disputes; or outcomes arising from your use of Client Ledger, your client relationships, or a third-party service or share destination.
